SALISBURY — A man and woman were taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center following a wreck at an intersection on West Innes Street Thursday.
Salisbury Police Officer M.E. Morgan did not have the names or injuries of the two immediately available.
Police said the two were heading north on Craige Street at the intersection of West Innes Street when an older model Nissan Altima plowed into their left side around noon.
Witnesses told officers Caleb Riddle, the driver of the Nissan, ran the light, Morgan said.
Charges are “forthcoming,” he said.
But that wasn’t how Riddle remembered it.
“The light turned green,” Riddle said. “She pulled out in front of me and I just bashed into her.”
