A.L. Brown students win at state robotics event

Richard Xiong, Luke Hill, Prince Williams and Chris Abba, students at A.L. Brown High School, recently won four awards in a statewide robotics competition.
The event was held at UNC-Pembroke and included teams from all over North Carolina.
A.L. Brown teams won two gold awards for first place in the parallel parking competition and the get-out-of-the box competition.
They also earned two second place awards.
The team is coached by Jordan Baker, Joe Rineer and Scott Rodgers.
It was the first time that A.L. Brown High School had competed in the statewide robotics event.
