Session on agriculture highway safety

Cooperative Extension, in conjunction with Farm Service Agency and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, is sponsoring a workshop on Highway Laws and Safety for Agricultural Producers on Thursday, 9 a.m., at the Rowan County Agricultural Center on Old Concord Road in Salisbury.
This meeting will feature information concerning highway laws for agricultural producers, including the new law concerning cell phone usage and commercial licensed drivers. Representatives from the N.C. Highway Patrol, the district attorney and law enforcement from sheriff and local municipalities will discuss highway safety and laws affecting the agricultural community in Rowan County.
