SALISBURY — An apparent Bloods gang member was arrested Wednesday night after police say they found gang graffiti in a Salisbury neighborhood and marijuana in his possession.
The Salisbury Police Interdiction Team was near Partee and Standish streets about 9:30 p.m. when they saw a suspicious man in a parking lot at 1210 Standish St., according to Salisbury Police reports.
Officers stopped 23-year-old Justin Decarlos Ford and asked if he was carrying anything illegal, and Ford admitted that he had 13.5 grams, or .48 ounces, of pot in his pocket.
Police also found a red bandana and a can of red spray paint in his possession.
After searching the immediate area, officers found red graffiti on the ground, spelling “183rd.” A nearby stop sign also had a red “CK” across it.
The term “183rd” is pronounced “One-Eight Trey,” a Bloods gang faction in Salisbury, police said. The acronym “CK” stands for “Crip Killer.”
Ford was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and two counts of vandalism to real property.
He was released after posting a $500 bond.
