Even when it rains, they pour

A little rain can’t stop a dedicated golfer, and a light rain Monday didn’t stop contractors installing a new miniature golf course at Dan Nicholas Park.
Harris Miniature Golf Courses of Wildwood, N.J., and Shelton Concrete of Salisbury poured several new holes on what will be a 36-hole course. The concrete will need 21 days to cure before the new carpet will be installed.
The new course, which will occupy the same space as a previous one, will be compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
County parks officials learned last year they had to replace the old course, which was built in 1970, with one accessible to people with disabilities or shut down miniature golf at the park altogether.
