Republican Harry Warren says he wants to continue legislative initiatives already under way if he’s elected to a second term in the N.C. House of Representatives District 77.
He wants “to build upon the reforms set in place to ‘right-size’ government, reduce spending, improve education and business friendly job creating environment in the private sector,” Warren said in a statement.
Warren, 61, defeated incumbent Democrat Lorene Coates in 2010.
He is a field marketing manager for Tar Heel Capital Corp., one of the largest Wendy’s franchises in the brand.
Warren majored in political science at Kent State University with a minor in history.
He was a Republican precinct chairman, the 12th District Delegate to the N.C. County Chairman’s Association, a delegate to the N.C. GOP executive committee and served on the Rowan Republicans Youth and Minority Outreach Committee.
Warren is an active member of First United Methodist Church, and he volunteers at Rowan Helping Ministries and was a former volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
He serves on the Youth and Minority Outreach Committee of the N.C. Republican Party.
Warren lives in Salisbury with his wife, Catherine, and together they have six children — Emily, Alexandra, Morgan, Jason, Adam and Joshua.
