VFW Post 3006, 1200 Brenner Ave.will host a hot dog lunch on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. with proceeds being donated to the Humane Society of Rowan County. The public is invited to attend. Dine in and carry out orders will be available.
The HSRC will present its Susan Gloeckler Memorial Awards at 1 p.m. Recipients were nominated and selected for their outstanding contributions to animal welfare.
HSRC shirts and other items will be on sale, and volunteers will be available to accept pet food donations for distribution to pet owners in need of assistance.
