Joseph Dobbins, known to his friends and fans as “Joe Grotesque,” is a Salisbury native and West Rowan graduate (class of 1999), who regarded tattooing as his main focus over the last decade but has also come to be known as the creator of the underground comic book character VooDude.
His work has graced album covers, shirt designs and posters, and has been used in animation and still frame for independent cinema.
A collection of Joe’s work will be featured in a one night only gallery exhibit on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Inksane Tattoo and Body Piercing, 1329 S. Main St.
The show runs from 8-11 p.m. There is no admission fee and it is open to the public.
