Teenagers jailed on burglary charges

CHINA GROVE — Investigators arrested two teenagers Saturday evening after authorities said they broke into a China Grove home and took more than $3,900 in jewelry.
Courtney Renee Simpson, 17, and Christian Hudson, 19, were charged with felony larceny and second-degree burglary.
China Grove investigators say the two broke into a Centerview Street home between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Jan. 28.
Arrest warrants said the two stole “various items to include jewelry,” which was listed at more than $3,900.
Simpson, 303 Bostian Road, was given a $20,000 bond and was in jail Saturday night.
Hudson, 222 West Ketchie St., also remained under a $20,000 bond.
