Boone-Carroll Funeral Home grand opening Saturday

CLEVELAND — Boone-Carroll Funeral Home will host a grand opening from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Annie Boone-Carroll owns the funeral home at 111 Railroad Street. She has 22 years of experience in the industry at several funeral services and completed her apprenticeship at Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home in Salisbury.
She holds a certificate from Fayetteville Technical Community College in the Funeral Education Program and her certification from North Carolina Board of Funeral Service.
“I’ve always had a passion for working with the funeral homes and the families that we’ve assisted,” she said in a press release.
Boone-Carroll previously worked in education and accounting.
With a degree in business management from Shaw University, she worked 16 years as a secretary in the Hertford County School System before earning a teaching certification from Elizabeth City State University and working two years as a business education teacher.
She also worked six years as an accounting clerk with the N.C. Department of Correction.
