“Cautiously optimistic” is the way some Rowan County economic officials are looking at 2012.
They might say it in a whisper, but officials at several Rowan companies see a light at the end of the recession tunnel, and a few even plan to hire additional employees in the New Year.
“We expect significant new announcements in the first quarter of 2012,” said Robert Van Geons, executive director for RowanWorks Economic Development.
