SALISBURY — Gwen Matthews has left Historic Salisbury Association to become the third partner in the Literary Bookpost, an independent bookstore in downtown Salisbury.
Matthews joins the Bookpost’s Bill Greene and Deal Safrit in the business and will work full-time in the store, joined part-time by her daughter-in-law, Kimi Matthews.
Matthews served as director of real estate for Historic Salisbury from 2008 until last week. She said she and her family have wanted to run a downtown business since moving to Salisbury from Oregon.
