SPENCER ó The town of Spencer is decked out for the holidays.
The Hometown Holidays Committee announces the following winners of the Downtown Holidays Outdoor Decorating Contest:
1st place, David and Sylvia Mahaley, 300 Sowers Road. Winner of an Engineer Driving Experience certificate from the N.C. Transportation Museum.
2nd place, Annie Bates, 1615 S. Salisbury Ave. Winner of a lunch certificate from the Lunch Box.
3rd place, Darlene Boone, 514 4th St. Winner of gift certificate from Lowes.
4th place, Jon Palmer and Cara Reische, 310 S. Carolina Ave. Winner of a lunch certificate from the Lunch Box.
5th place, Clarence and Ann Bostion, 10 Pickett Ave. Winner of a piece of jewelry from Debbie Barnhardt Jeweler.
Honorable mentions went to Jimmy and Linda McCullough at 407 N. Rowan Avenue Ext., Wendy Spry at 110 Yadkin Ave., Eric and Kim Lentz at 406 Oakwood Drive and Nelson and Ellen Robertson at 135 Steeplechase Trail.
