The Writersí Workshop is sponsoring a Poetry Class in Charlotte on Dec. 10. Any level writer may participate. It will meet at Providence Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. Poetry Workshop with Richard Krawiec óThis workshop for beginning to experienced poets will focus on revising poems, and how to turn rejection letters into acceptances. Information on where to publish will also be given. Students may bring up to five poems for in-class revision. Krawiecís chapbook, ěBreakdown: A Father’s Story,î was an 2009 Indie Book Awards Finalist. He has won fellowships from the NEA and the N.C. Arts Council, and his poems have been published in numerous literary journals including Shenandoah and N.C Literary Review. Meets Saturday, 12-5 pm. $75 for non-members/$70 members.
