Waterworks Visual Arts Center held its third Big Chili cook-off Nov. 12 at the F&M Trolley Barn. Four hundred guests tasted chili recipes concocted by 15 volunteer cooks. Two-time winner Nathan Valentine presented the Big Chili Award to this year’s winners, Trisha Proper and Kristin Shields.
The evening included music, dancing, calf roping and mechanical bull-riding. All proceeds from the fundraiser support education and outreach programs at Waterworks.
