HARRISBURG ó South Rowanís boys dropped a tough one to Cox Mill Friday 63-58.
ěIt was frustrating that we missed a lot of shots around the lane,î South coach John Davis said. ěJust missed opportunities.î
South trailed 31-30 at halftime in a nip-and-tuck affair.
Josh Medlin scored 17 points to lead the Raiders. Houston Allen offered 14 as South dropped to 0-4 on the year.
ěThereís not much different I could say,î Davis said. ěWeíre there, but weíre just not getting wins.î
Devonte Mcknight scored 18 points to lead all scorers for Cox Mill.
South Rowanís girls defeated Cox Mill 49-26 Friday night behind 22 points from Avery Locklear.
The Raiders rallied from a 13-11 deficit at halftime with 38 points in the second half.
ěWe started off slow and calmed down in the second half,î South coach Jarrod Smith said. ěWe were able to run our offense more.î
Lynsey Corriher had a solid game with nine points, 12 rebounds and five blocks. South moved to 2-2 with the win.
