The Gay Men’s Chorus of Charlotte and Salisbury-Rowan Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will present “Drummer Boy,” a holiday concert, at 8 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary of Haven Evangelical Lutheran Church, 207 W. Harrison St.
The concert features six holiday songs performed by the full chorus and four songs performed by Seventh Son, a small ensemble.
Among the songs performed by the Gay Men’s Chorus will be “Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth,” “Go Tell It On the Mountain” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”
Seventh Son will perform pieces including “12 Days of Christmas,” “There’s Another Santa Claus” and “Wintersong.”
Accompanying the singers will be Matt Curl on percussion, Charles Berman on electric bass, Betsy Sesler on harp and Troy Conn on classical and electric guitars.
A reception with refreshments to meet the artists will be held in the church fellowship hall after the performance.
