Susan Goodman Sides, who has a vast postcard collection providing great snapshots of local history, submitted this postcard to the Post. Its writing on the reverse says only ‘Salisbury NC Edward Adams, Youth Auxiliary 1917.’ Sides adds this personal note: ‘I know nothing about him, but I love this card.’ Sides is current president of Historic Salisbury Foundation.
