Santa’s Run/Walk for Charity

The Law Offices of Wallace and Graham present the Santa 5K Run/Walk for Charity on Saturday.
Race headquarters are at the Millbridge Ruritan building on Sloan Road, just across from Sloan Park. There will be a half mile fun run for kids, 12 and under.
Proceeds from the event will go to Rowan Helping Ministries and the Youth Services Bureau. Sponsors for the event include Millbridge Ruritans, Stout Heating and Air Conditioning, Gayís Chapel United Methodist Church, Re/Max Town and Country and the Rowan Family Physicians.
All 5K participants will receive a high quality long sleeve dri-fit shirt. Awards will be presented in 28 age and gender categories. Top three awards will be presented in the fun run, and each additional finisher will get a commemorative medal.
The race course loops through Sloan Road, Kerr Mill Road and Lyerly Road. Locke Fire Department will be on hand for course safety.
Santa Claus plans an appearance, both during the race and the awards presentation. Snow flurries have been requested.
Canned goods will be collected for Rowan Helping Ministries.
Online registration continues at www.active.com. Race day registration will begin at 7:30 AM on Saturday. More information is available www.salisburyrowanrunners.org or by calling 704-636-5678.
