Men accused of carrying TV away on foot

SALISBURY — Two men were arrested Sunday after Salisbury police were called about a television being carried down the road.
According to Salisbury Police, officers arrested 23-year-old Ellis Whitley and 21-year-old Kwamane Dezion Hoover about 5 p.m. near the intersection of West Bank and South Caldwell streets.
Officers were contacted by a homeowner at 405 Milford Hills Road about a recent break-in after being notified by previous callers about the nearby suspects.
According to an incident report, the men attempted to steal a 32-inch LCD television that had recently been purchased, and a handgun.
They were seen carrying the television from Milford Hills Road in the direction of Maple Avenue, police said.
Both were charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony larceny of a firearm, felony larceny after breaking and entering and felony possessing stolen goods.
They were each given a $2,500 bond and were in jail Monday.
