MOUNT PLEASANT ó Walkers and riders can take part in benefit for abandoned, abused and unwanted horses. It is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon next Sunday at Smith Lake Farm, 6019 Barrier Store Road.
Entry costs $15, with another $5 for a chili and cornbread lunch. Proceeds go to rehabilitating horses.
