Common Opponent: Both routed Atkins without breaking a sweat.
nAverages: Carver scores 33 points per game and allows 25, although both those numbers got skewed considerably by a zany 87-52 loss to Mount Tabor. Salisbury scores 44 points per game and allows about 13.
nBest wins: Carver beat conference foe High Point Andrews 22-21 to take second place in the Mid-Piedmont and also topped 4A West Forsyth. Salisbury crushed a good Central Davidson team that ended up with a lousy record because of four forfeits.
nSalisbury at home: Hornets are 4-1. The loss was to West Rowan.
nCarver on the road: The Yellow Jackets are just 1-4, but that one win was a big one at HP Andrews.

nLast week: Carver marched into the playoffs by shelling lowly Trinity 47-0. Salisbury thumped East Davidson 48-6 after spotting the Golden Eagles an early TD.
