nSalisbury at home: Hornets are 4-1. The loss was to West Rowan.
nCarver on the road: The Yellow Jackets are just 1-4, but that one win was a big one at HP Andrews.
nSeries: First meeting.
nLast week: Carver marched into the playoffs by shelling lowly Trinity 47-0. Salisbury thumped East Davidson 48-6 after spotting the Golden Eagles an early TD.
nNext week: Winner advances to play the East Lincoln-Starmount contest. Starmount is a No. 1 seed. The Hornets would have to travel to Boonville if thatís the matchup.
nGame notes: Carver gave up 52 points in the first half against Mount Tabor and allowed 654 yards in that game… Carver QB Madison Mills is a dynamic player. … Unsung players such as TE Ben Ritchie and nose Paris Jones have helped the Hornets roll this year. … HB Justin Ruffin needs 48 yards for 1,000.
