SALISBURY — Two men from New York were arrested Friday night after the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office found them in possession of 46 $100 counterfeit travelers checks.
Anthony Ellison, 24, of 14 Hunterfly Place, Brooklyn, and Kassim Matthews, 22, of 1208 Sterling Place, Brooklyn, have been charged with possession of counterfeit instruments and felony conspiracy.
Both men are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
