SALISBURY ó Duke Power crews were working to restore power after a blown transformer left many in northern Salisbury and southern Spencer in the dark Friday night.
Duke Powerís website listed 1,210 without power about 11:30 p.m. Power was expected to be restored by 2 a.m.
Scanner traffic indicated power also was out in areas toward Granite Quarry.
Some reported seeing a flash near the Duke Power substation behind OíCharleyís at the beginning of the outage reports.
