ROCKWELL — A Rockwell man was arrested on Monday after deputies say he stole a rental car.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, 24-year-old Christopher Ryan Garrison was charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle after police found a white 2011 Chevy Impala that Garrison had leased at his 13114 Megan Drive home.
Deputies were responding to a call referencing a stolen vehicle at the home, the report said.
Salisbury Police were notified by Enterprise Rental on South Main Street. The report did not indicate when the report was initially filed.
After being taken to the Magistrate’s Office, deputies found that the man was wanted for grand larceny of a motor vehicle out of Florida.
Garrison was charged with felony fugitive from justice and felony larceny of a motor vehicle.
He was given a $26,000 bond and was in jail on Wednesday.
