Hart Behrooz Wedding

Maggie McLean Hart and Jonathan Omar Behrooz were united in marriage on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Mooresville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Gerald Hallman and the Reverend Anthony Ward officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Charles Mack Citizen Center.
The bride was escorted by her father, Stephen Douglas Hart. Attending her as maids of honor were her sisters, Laura Kathryn Hart of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Lindsay Elizabeth Hart of Seattle, Wash. Bridesmaids were Susan Emily Behrooz, sister of the groom, of Salisbury; Caitlin Elizabeth McNabb, childhood and college friend of the bride, of Mooresville; Kathryn Ellen Sloop, childhood friend of the bride, of Raleigh; and Christina Nicole Whitley, bride’s college roommate, of Raleigh.
Best man was Seddiq Behrooz, father of the groom, of Salisbury. Groomsmen were brother of the groom Sharif Graham Behrooz of Raleigh; Wesley Wilson Graham, cousin of the groom, of Salisbury; Charlie Scott Aldridge, childhood friend of the groom, of Salisbury; Joshua Lee Bradshaw, college friend of the groom, of Bishopville, S.C.; Cole Aaron Campbell, childhood friend of the groom, of Salisbury; Brett Michael Hendrix, childhood friend of the groom, of Salisbury; and Christopher Phillip Roseman, childhood friend of the groom, of Salisbury.
Scripture reader was Elizabeth Barger Rose of Decatur, Ga. Guest registrars were Caitlyn Hupman of Athens, Ga., and Caroline Hupman of Silver Spring, Md.
The bride is the daughter of Karen and Stephen Hart of Mooresville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ludwig McLean and the late Mrs. Mildred Lowrance Hart and Mr. Harry Hall Hart, all of Mooresville. A 2006 graduate of Mooresville Senior High School, Maggie graduated from Meredith College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with grades 9-12 licensure. A North Carolina Teaching Fellow, Maggie was on the soccer team. She is employed with the Cabarrus County School System at Northwest Cabarrus High School.
The groom is the son of Judy and Seddiq Behrooz of Salisbury. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Oris Graham of Salisbury and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ghulam Rasool Timory of Herat, Afghanistan. A 2004 graduate of West Rowan High School, Jonathan graduated from North Carolina State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business Management. He was president of Inter-Fraternity council and Farmhouse Fraternity. He is employed with Delhaize America, LLC.
After a wedding trip to the North Carolina mountains, the couple will reside in Salisbury.
