Rep. Harry Warren's daughter dies in Florida

The daughter of N.C. Rep. Harry Warren (R-77) died Monday in Florida after a brief battle with brain cancer.
Emily Lynne Warren-Howard, born Dec. 21, 1974, in East Liverpool, Ohio, was the 36-year-old daughter of Warren and his former wife, Beverly Pierce. She died surrounded by her family, including her 11-year-old son, Austin Deaton.
Warren-Howard moved from Ohio to Orange Park, Fla., with her family in 1985 and attended schools there. She had been an employee of Ally Financial for the past six years.
Warren, who represents part of Rowan County in the North Carolina House, moved to Salisbury nearly 13 years ago.
Services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, Fla., with Father Stephen Zehler of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church officiating.
