World Hope holds Fearless Festival

Churches across Rowan County are invited to join together for an afternoon of live music, guest speakers, drama and dance in a safe and fun festival atmosphere that will include carnival games, inflatables, food vendors and craft vendors.
This free event, Fearless Festival: United 4 Christ, is Saturday, Oct. 29, from noon-4 p.m. on the grounds of World Hope Worship Center in Salisbury.
Bernard Harris, the musical director and bass player for American Idolís Season 5 Finalist Mandisa, will play everything from gospel to jazz to rhythm & blues to fusion. He will be accompanied by a talented live band that will include Marvin Mumford, Charlotte native.
Also performing are Renee T. Ellis and Shield of Salvation, a Salisbury-based Christian Rock band working on its first album
John James, formerly a member of one of the worldís most successful Christian bands, The Newsboys, will share his powerful story of living a ětoxicî life after the Newsboys and making the journey from ěinsignificance to success.î
Jeff Rowland of Chillhowie, Va., will also speak.
Churches are invited and encouraged to participate in this event by bringing a drama or dance team, hosting a tent that will offer something unique to the event, such as face painting, free hot chocolate or kidsí crafts, or simply by attending.
Food vendors and craft vendors are invited to set up for the day. There is no charge for vendor space.
