A 32-year-old man is in jail today after authorities say he broke his mother’s clock and telephone when she didn’t let him use her car.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies responded to reports of a disturbance at 630 Dunns Mountain Church Road on Sunday where they found Justin Lee Jackson sitting on the porch, smoking a cigarette.
Deputies said Jackson, 110 N. Meriah St., Landis, broke several items inside the home when his mother, Sharon Jackson, wouldn’t let him take her car to see his girlfriend.
The report indicated the man was intoxicated.
Jackson was charged with misdemeanor damage to personal property.
He was in jail Tuesday under a $1,000 bond.
