RCCC offers mini-semester

SALISBURY ó Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will offer an eight-week, fall mini-semester beginning Monday. Morning, afternoon and evening courses are offered in addition to online Internet-based courses.
ěThe great thing about the mini-semester is that it gives students the opportunity to earn full course credits in half the time,î said Dr. Carol S. Spalding, president of Rowan-Cabarrus.
The mini-semester will include such courses as: business law, business communication, AC circuit analysis, Spanish for the workplace; Internet/Web fundamentals, forensic psychology, professional research and reporting; introduction to computers, Linux/Unix administration, routing basics, expository writing, introduction to sociology.
Classes are intensive and offer the opportunity to complete the courses in a compressed amount of time. Classes will meet one to three times a week at either the North or South Campus or the Cabarrus Business and Technology Center. Classes will conclude Dec. 14.
The college will hold mini-semester registration on Thursday from 9-10 a.m. and 5-6 p.m., at Student Services on both North and South Campuses.
