SPENCER — Thomas the Tank Engine and friends have rolled back into town for a weekend at the N.C. Transportation Museum.
At A Day Out with Thomas, kids and their parents can take a 25-minute train ride with a full-size Thomas the Tank Engine. The event also offers live music, storytelling, building with Mega Bloks, Imagination Station and the chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt.
Trains depart every 45 minutes starting at 8:30 a.m. today and Sunday.
Tickets are still available for the 8:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. train rides today, but the others are already sold out, according to a website linked to the Transportation Museum site. Tickets for most of the rides on Sunday are still available.
Prices start at $15.
