Mark your calendar now for the seventh annual Foothills Regional Conference for Early Childhood Educators. This award-winning educational event will take place Saturday, Nov. 5 from 7:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Office, Iredell County Center, 444 Bristol Drive, Statesville.
This yearís theme, ěYou Make a Powerful Difference,î will explore the importance of childcare providers and parents together to make a Powerful difference in the lives of their children. Keynote speaker Mary Ponds will talk about ways parents, childcare providers and the community as a whole can make a difference every day.
Family and Consumer Sciences agents from Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Iredell, Lincoln and Rowan counties will present workshops on topics relating to marketing, professionalism, financial literacy, nutrition, environmental stewardship and afterschool programs.
Participants will receive continuing education credits, information about valuable resources, as well as networking opportunities and door prizes. If you are a childcare provider in need of new teaching tools, we encourage you to join us for a power-packed day.
The conference is coordinated and hosted by Cooperative Extension family and consumer sciences agents in Alexander, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, Iredell and Rowan counties.
