Woman wanted in Massachusetts arrested in Salisbury
SALISBURY — A Salisbury woman wanted for aggravated assault with a weapon in Massachusetts was arrested Sunday and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
Elaine Marie Bell, 39, of 410 W. 15th St. apartment 1A, is charged as a fugitive. She faces extradition to Brockton, Mass., where she was charged with aggravated assault in November 2005. She also was required to register as a sex offender for fondling a child.
Bell is scheduled to appear in Rowan County court Tuesday. She was arrested by Salisbury police but the circumstances were not clear Sunday night.
