A Concord woman died at Carolinas Medical Center- NorthEast Thursday afternoon after her vehicle swerved off the road and struck a tree.
The driver, 52-year-old Caroline Z. Hutchins, was traveling west on Rock Hill Church Road when the crash occurred near Living Faith Church of the Brethren.
The initial cause is unknown, Concord Police said in a press release, but the incident is being investigated.
Hutchins, 3689 Lake Spring Drive Ave., was the only occupant in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved.
