After 34 years of service to Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and the community, Dr. Jarrett T. Chandler, vice president of college advancement, is retiring.
Better known around the community as Jerry Chandler, he leaves a legacy of generosity and positivity, a press release from the college says.
“As sad as we are to be without his positive attitude, dedication and generous contributions, we’re excited to launch a legacy in his name to honor his commitment to the college,” said Dr. Carol S. Spalding, president.
To honor Chandler’s commitment to the college and the community, the foundation that he helped incorporate is endowing a scholarship in his name.
