CONCORD — The two people killed in a shooting at a Concord Lowe’s were a husband and wife from Salisbury.
According to Karen Cobb, spokesperson for Lowe’s, Zoua “Vivian” Xiong, 25, and Por Ye Lor, 31, her husband, were the ones who died in the shooting.
According to Cobb, Lor walked into the Lowe’s store, where Xiong was a cashier, had an argument with her, then shot her and turned the gun on himself. The couple has three children.
The couple lived at 1102 Arbor Drive in Salisbury. Xiong had worked for Lowe’s for 6 years. The couple had three children.
Cobb said grief counselors are at the store to help coworkers deal with the deaths, and team members from surrounding stores are filling in for regular employees who are unable to work.
The store is just off Dale Earnhardt Boulevard.
Concord Police responded to the shooting about 5:30 p.m., evacuating the store and blocking off all entrances to the parking lot.
Despite a forest of broadcast antennas set up in the parking lot of the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau, it was a somber scene as detectives attempted to piece the tragedy together Monday night.
