GRANITE QUARRY — The town of Granite Quarry has a couple of upcoming events for kids.
On Oct. 8, a Fish for Fun Day will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Granite Lake Park, 500 N. Salisbury Ave. It will include two fishing sessions: from 10 a.m.-noon and from noon-2 p.m.

On Oct. 15, Safe Kids Day will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Granite Lake Park. it includes fun, food and education for children and parents. For more information, contact 704-279-5596, extension 201.
For residents wanting to donate school supplies for Safe Kids, there’s a drop-off location at Town Hall.
