Salisbury Police charged a woman Wednesday with robbing a Rushco service station clerk at gunpoint in August.
According to the arrest report, Tega Kay Turner, 35, was charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon after officers say the woman wore a wig while demanding money from the clerk at a Statesville Blvd. Rushco station on Aug. 23.
Police said investigators used security surveillance video footage, along with witness testimonies to identify the woman. Officers searched Turner’s apartment at 2345 Statesville Blvd., finding a loaded .380 Cobra handgun, along with ammunition in an upstairs bedroom.
Turner was given a $50,000 bond. She was in jail Thursday morning.
