ROCKWELL — A Rockwell man was arrested early Friday morning after deputies say he was found in possession of ecstasy.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Zachary Josiah Bolden, 21, was stopped by deputies near the intersection of Old Concord Road and Peach Orchard Road at about 3:45 a.m. Friday morning.
Deputies reported that the man was stopped after his gray Pontiac Grand Prix crossed the center line. Bolden had glassy eyes and there was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, officers said.
Bolden performed several field sobriety tests and then blew a .16 blood alcohol level, the report said.
Police then searched the man and found a plastic bag with .03 grams of ecstacy in his front right pocket.
Bolden, of 800 Reid Road, Rockwell, was charged with driving while impaired and felony possession of ecstasy. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond.
