Man faces four felonies after marijuana raid

WOODLEAF — A Woodleaf man is under $110,000 bond after deputies charged him with four felonies, including trafficking marijuana.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 51-year-old Donald Mark Crider, 1935 Needmore Road, was charged after deputies found 34 marijuana plants weighing about 18 pounds growing on Crider’s property on Aug. 31.
The report said detectives also found Crider, a convicted felon, in possession of six firearms.
Authorities said an initial investigation led them to find one of the firearms was stolen from a Mount Vernon Park Road home. The firearm was taken during a May 2010 break-in.
Crider was charged with felony trafficking marijuana, felony possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of a firearm by a felon and felony possession of a stolen firearm.
He remained in jail this afternoon.
