SALISBURY — Authorites issued an alert Monday for a 32-year-old Charlotte man who was last in Salisbury.
Adrian Stepfond Rankin was last seen Thursday on Old Wilkesboro Road, according to a N.C. Center for Missing Persons report.
Rankin “is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment,” according to the report.
He was described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, about 280 pounds, with short hair. He was last seen wearing navy blue pants, a blue long-sleeved shirt and black Nike shoes.
According to authorities, Rankin’s debit card was recently used in Baltimore.
A Salisbury Police spokesman told the Post Monday night that he had no information about whether or not there was a connection between Rankin’s disappearance and a body found Sunday off Old Concord Road near Interstate 85 on Sunday.
The Silver Alert regarding Rankin’s disappearance was issued just after 4:30 p.m. Monday. Anyone with information about Rankin’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective W.O. Brown with the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333.
