Tornado warning issued for Rowan, Cabarrus

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Cabarrus and Rowan counties including the cities of Salisbury and Concord.
The tornado watch is in effect until 11 p.m. this evening.
In preparation for a tornado, mobile homes and vehicles should be abandoned for sturdier shelter. Otherwise, go to an interior room on the lowest level of your home or place of business. Make sure there are as many walls and floors between you and the outside as possible.
