KANNAPOLIS — A driver has died in a single-vehicle wreck on Pump Station Road in Kannapolis.
The accident happened at 3:31 p.m. in the 1300 block of Pump Station, near its intersection with West C Street.
A first responder found a 2001 Ford pickup overturned and the female driver pinned in the vehicle, according to emergency radio communications. The woman died at the scene, police said. Her name has not been released.
A Kannapolis Police Department traffic crash reconstructionist was still investigating the wreck at 5 p.m.
