CHINA GROVE — The Horse Protection Society of North Carolina, a sanctuary for abused, abandoned and starved horses, is holding a tack sale to benefit the 45 rescued horses being rehabilitated, retrained and, when possible, re-homed.
The sale will held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. It will be held in the Indoor Training Arena at the sanctuary at 2135 Miller Road, China Grove.
Items for sale include such items as saddles, bridles and riding clothes.
The Horse Protection Society is run by volunteers who feed the large herd twice daily, care for its health and rehabilitates horses through training.
