SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was arrested Wednesday after police say a domestic dispute between the man and his girlfriend at a motel spilled into the parking lot.
According to Salisbury Police, Dustin Michael McLeod, of 1083 Elljoy Lane, was in the parking lot of Super 8 Motel at 925 Bendix Drive, “yelling and cursing” at officers when they arrived.
When authorities attempted to restrain the 23-year-old, according to the report, McLeod resisted and refused to comply with officers’ demands.
The report said McLeod was stunned by an officer after resisting arrest. After cuffing the man, authorities noticed the man’s nose was bleeding and he was blowing it on the ground.
After speaking with witnesses, officers returned to the man and he began blowing his bloody nose at officers, splattering a nearby officer’s boots.
McLeod was charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer, assault on a female and felony malicious conduct by a prisoner. The woman was not identified.
He received a $7,500 bond and was in jail Thursday morning.
