The unveiling of local sculptor Robert Toth’s James Dean bust is set for Thursday, Aug. 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Fine Frame Gallery, 105 S.Main St.
Toth selected Dean because “he was an iconic figure in our history and I wanted to add an actor to my Genius series, along with about 70 Masters I completed over the last 35 years.”
Dean died at age 24 in 1955 in an auto accident in September of 1955 while driving his Porsche Spyder.
Although Dean only made three movies, Elvis Presley called him a genius, and John Lennon said if not for James Dean there would not have been the Beatles.
