Man charged with keeping marijuana in mother's car

SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was arrested Wednesday after police say he had three bags of marijuana in his mother’s car.
According to a Salisbury Police report, Joshua Louis Griffin, off 209 W. 11th St., was charged with simple possession of marijuana after police found .14 ounces of marijuana and rolling papers in the center console of his mother’s 2008 Dodge Avenger.
Police said they stopped Griffin in the 700 block of North Ellis Street after authorities saw he parked illegally on the left side of the road.
The report said officers asked to search the car after finding Griffin did not have a valid license.
Police arrested the 23-year- old, charging him with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was given a $300 bond and was released after posting bond.
