Carolina Artists Expo is next week

The Carolina Arist’s “The Real Carolina Artists 2011 Expo” runs Aug. 24-26 at the Salisbury Civic Center, judged by Jenn Selby. There will be an artists reception at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25.
Purchase awards will be given by Penninger Distributing Company and Salisbury Wine Shop.
In a related event called “Paint with the Carolina Artists,” the artists will act as teachers on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m-noon; Thursday, Aug. 25, 2-4 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 26, 6-8 p.m. Bring your own art supplies to work in any medium. Register one week before class at 704-638-5275. The lessons will be held at the Salisbury Civic Center, 315 S. Martin Luther King Ave.
