Cannon Schoolfocuses on kindness
Last Monday morning, at Cannon Schoolís first all-school assembly of the new school year, student council members showed a video they filmed and edited that unveiled the schoolís sixth core value, kindness, and challenged teachers and students to make a difference with their choices and actions.
ěKindness is an essential that has guided our school community for more than 40 years,î said Head of School Matt Gossage. ěIt is rooted in virtues as old as our most treasured beliefs and yet it still provides guidance for learning in the twenty-first century.î
Cannon Schoolís six core values reveal the commitments educators, students and parents share. Courage, teamwork, respect, integrity, passion and kindness also form the basis for the schoolís expectations for how its students engage each other and engage in learning.
Cannon School is an independent junior kindergarten through 12th grade college-preparatory institution.
