SALISBURY — John Austin Smith Jr., 34, of 208 E. Beaver St. in China Grove, was charged Saturday with two felony counts of larceny.
Smith is accused of taking jewelry worth $7,000 and $4,375 from two China Grove women.
He was being held on a $7,500 bond in the Rowan County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court today.
